What I liked
--Living in the 70s. It's another episode that slows the narrative to a crawl. The only real revelation was that it confirmed that everyone got sent to the 1970s, after Locke came back to save them. The character development with Sawyer, how he's turning into a leader rather than a rebel while still remaining true to himself, was great though. I like that he found peace with himself and that he's happy living on the island and working for Dharma, and being around people. Unlike Jack, who's still an insufferable douchebag with a hero complex, Sawyer has come a long way from the annoying southerner from the first season.
--"Whatever happens now is supposed to happen". That one line closed all the potential plotholes from here on out. It's still a mindfuck to think about the time travel, but at least its semi-reassuring that there won't be any weird plotholes from here on out.
--Daniel seeing young Charlotte. It came coming a mile away, but it was still a nice moment.
--"Just give me two weeks" and the immediate cut to the "Three Years Later" title card. That killed me.
What I didn't like:
--I'm not for or against any of the love stories on Lost, but Sawyer and Juliet hooking up felt weird to me. Even stranger, I thought to myself "Dammit, not this again" when Sawyer locked eyes with Kate at the end. Right now, I'm moving off of "no problems" and leaning towards "against" with all the love triangles or rectangles or trapezoids.
--Forgetting the past. This is a problem with me, not the show. I didn't realize that the statue was important until I was reading through the Television Without Pity message board. I still don't know how it's significant. And apparently Horace has made a previous appearance. After this season is over, I need to rewatch from the beginning before the final episodes start.
--What happened to Rose and Bernard?!
