When I was a kid, whenever I was losing late in the 4th quarter in NBA Live '95,I would take control over the opposing team and make sure that they missed the free throws whenever I fouled them. Then I would score as quickly as possibly, then commit another foul. And I would repeat the process of fouling until I took the lead and won the game. I probably outscored the computer on an average of 25-0 in the last two minutes of games I was losing.
In tonight's NCAA championship game, Kansas was losing by 9 points with two minutes remaining. They fouled Memphis at every opportunity...and Memphis kept missing their free throws. Kansas scored as quickly as possible whenever they had the ball, and repeated the process of fouling until they tied the game with a last second three by Mario Chalmers in regulation, and won the game in overtime. Kansas outscored Memphis 24-8 in the final two minutes of regulation and overtime.
Greatest gambling moment of my life.
