People and dogs in the Philippines do not care if they get hit by cars. Also, I feel like I am related to everyone there. There was one day¹ where we went to every single house in a four block radius. We also climbed up a mountain that my grandma owns, saw volcano ruins, and my dad got a rooster as a present. All and all, it was a pretty good visit.
I'm glad to be back though. I just took a hot shower and it may have been the greatest moment of my year. I may be kidding, but there's a chance I'm not. In the Philippines, every single place we visited didn't have hot water, which incidentally is the only thing about the Philippines that isn't hot. After a week or so of cold showers (or cold pour the plastic bucket over your head), it was amazing to have the hot shower back in my life.
Hot shower.
I feel like I missed out on a lot, like apparently Southern California got set on fire and millions of attractive people got displaced. That's not good.
My fish did not die while I was gone, which is good. Lumberghfish was whacked by Miltonfish when I went to Montreal, so I was a little worried that Milty would go down for the count, but he's tough as nails.
The Red Sox won the World Series, which is not good, but whatever. It obviously sucks as a Yankee fan, but they were the best team in the league this year and I have to hand it to them. I'm actually not that mad that they won, maybe the fact they didn't go through the Yankees helps.
What does make me mad, as Manny and Tarik informed me immediately as soon as I got home, was that world famous Yankee fan Rudy Giuliani said that he is rooting for the Red Sox to win the series. That's just disgraceful. I wasn't gonna vote for Rudy before I heard that, and after hearing that I can't imagine how anyone could. He might as well announce he's joining Al Qaeda.
