An acquaintance of mine recently bought Halo 3, and we were talking about how it was and how the series has made the leap from the XBox to the XBox 360. I've never really gotten into the Halo games, although I think it's a fun game, and I told him that my roommate had the games, but I'm not really into first person shooters so I never spent too much time playing either game. He then good-naturedly ribbed me about not liking FPS games because I'm not good at them, and then said that he would crush me at Halo 3. I laughed and said that even though I haven't really played the games, I'd still kick his ass. And we both laughed and decided that we'll play a game once my roommates get XBox Live set up.
And I know that he was just kidding around, but I'm not, although maybe I should be. I've played the first two Halo games a total of maybe 5 times combined, if that, and I really don't like FPS games, and competitive FPS gaming usually takes a long time to master. Those who are really good are experienced players who basically play the games as if their lives depended on whether or not they can find the proper shield or energy pack that can give them more life.
That said, I'm going to crush this kid. I am going to rip his heart and I am going to eat it while it is still beating. Or maybe I'll cook his heart after I snatch it from his chest, and I'll add some onions and peppers, and have a side order of chick peas and a glass of iced tea. Then for dessert, I will have chocolate peanut butter ice cream. And if for some reason I cannot find chocolate peanut butter, I will settle for just plain chocolate. Or perhaps I will buy plain chocolate ice cream and a big jug of Skippy, and I will combine the two together myself. That's just good eating.
Long story short (too late?), I'm finally getting into the Halo phenomenon. Also, cannibalism.
