II Days

Some people are surprised or don't believe me when I say that I remember the last time the Giants won the Super Bowl, but I do remember it even though I was only 7. I don't remember a lot of the game, but I remember the Norwood kick and screaming my head off when he missed. I even remember the NFC Championship Game the week before against the Niners, I remember the Leonard Marshall sack that injured Joe Montana and Bahr's game winner and the call "It's over for the three-peats! It's over!"

I would say that I have a tremendous memory, but that's not entirely true. I remember virtually nothing from the Giants loss to the Ravens, even though it was 7 years ago. I remember being mad at Jason Sehorn, but I really don't remember why. It probably had to do with the fact that he sucked despite the fact that he had a 99 rating in Madden 2000.

It might have to do with the fact that the Giants won in what was probably the greatest Super Bowl ever played, and lost in a forgettable blowout. Or it could be because I've subconsciously erased all memory of that game.

And I just remembered that I put a future's bet in August that the Patriots would win the Super Bowl. So technically, either way I win, but I'm not gonna lie, I'll be happier if I lost that bet on Sunday.
