Juice Two

I was in 7th grade when the verdict for the OJ Simpson murder trial was announced. I don't remember much about it, but I remember there was a lot of excitement, and that my class was jealous because the 8th graders were allowed to watch the announcement and we weren't. I was only 12 or 13, but I was enthralled by whole saga. Some kid came into the class and said that OJ was guilty, and I remember thinking "Holy shit!" and then one of the teacher's came in and announced that he was actually found not guilty, and I was like "Holy shit!" and then I went home and watched the news as OJ was riding in a car, finally a free man, and I was like "Holy shit!"

That's right, God went to the bathroom many times the day that OJ verdict was announced.

And now he's going on trial again.

It isn't as interesting as the murder trial. With few exceptions, the sequel to a blockbuster is rarely as good as the first, especially since all the major players won't be in this one. Johnny Cochran is dead, Marcia Clark got plastic surgery and is almost unrecognizable, Chris Darden fell off the face of the earth. But it's still a sequel to a record breaking blockbuster, and there's a chance that the bad guy might get it in the end. There might be much more important things to worry about in the world, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to tune into this one.
