Tonight I saw the smash hit Broadway Musical, Wicked. And I will not lie, the big ass dragon on top of the stage kind of freaked me out. I had crappy mezzanine seats, so I felt like if it somehow came alive and breathed fire, I would be one of the first people who would become barbecue. It was gigantic and green and had red eyes. It was like Christmas, only if Christmas was a fire-breathing super dragon. I tried not to stare at it, because staring only provokes dragons, but I couldn't help it.
Then the play started, and the dragon started thrashing around as the orchestra played. And I jumped! I thought to myself "Oh no, the dragon is coming alive!" and quickly searched for a sword so I could attempt to slay the mighty beast. Fortunately, I remembered a minute later that the dragon isn't real and that Wicked was a fairly family friendly play (there were a ton of kids at the show), so there probably weren't going to be any dragon attacks on this night. Unfortunately though, I didn't find a sword. It's always handy to have a sword around, just in case the dragons or werewolves somehow escape out of their prisons and try to take back the world that was once theirs. You have to figure it's going to happen eventually.
Wicked was pretty great though, I had a good time.
