After a few beers last night, I decided that I want to start a bottle collection. I mulled it over for a couple of hours, and after much thought and deliberation, I concluded that starting one will not take too much time and effort on my part. In fact, accomplishing this is only a two step process.
1. Instead of throwing out bottles after drinking out of them, do not throw out bottles after drinking out of them.
2. Keep them in a nice place.
It's a simple hobby, but also a fun one. When visitors come over, I will take them to the nice place and show them the bottles that I have collected. We can sit and chat about my bottles, and the different types of bottles there are in my collection. For example, Gatorade comes in a plastic bottle, but Sam Adams comes in a glass bottle! I could perhaps segregate the different bottles into separate sections so no one gets confused and label them inappropriately. Like this.
Plastic.
Glass
Or perhaps I will integrate the different types of bottles and hope that they can live together in equality, that people will judge them not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
I also plan to print out some type of brochure that will explain to my guests how they too can start their own bottle collection. The brochure will read something like this:
1. Instead of throwing out bottles after drinking out of them, do not throw out bottles after drinking out of them.
2. Keep them in a nice place.
Bottle collection.
