It's living up to the hype, and then some. Most of it is because everyone looks stupid when they play it, but also because it's really fun.
Wii Boxing
___________
I lost to both my roommates in this. This is because the game is not that good. I woke up the neighbors downstairs because I am not a good loser and I get very mad and loud whenever I lose. It's probably better for everyone's sake that I get really good at this game really fast, or I stop playing it altogether.
Wii Baseball
_______
It's the game I'm best at. This is because the game is really good. It's a basic pitch and hit game, you don't control the fielders, and sometimes the camera angles make routine fly balls look like home runs. Maybe the best done game on Wii Sports, but you can only play it once every 5 days or so. I made a joke earlier about needing Tommy John surgery in May as soon as I get the Wii. I was just kidding at the time, but the day after my arm was sore, so it might actually turn out to be true.
Wii Bowling
_______
Probably the game that everyone can just pick up and play and get good at really fast. My dad played it and he threw like six strikes in one game, and my dad is not good at anything.
The best party game of the bunch.
Wii Tennis
_______
I still don't know how to direct the shot, and I've lost to everyone I've played in this. It's still a lot of fun though. I can't figure out how to make singles matches, I don't even know if it's possible.
Wii Golf
_______
My first score was +21. It's a lot of fun though, especially yelling out "Tiger Woods!" while hitting the shot and having it end up out of bounds, or getting drunk and yelling out "John Daly!" and then going to Vegas and blowing all your winnings on strippers and blackjack.
Madden 2007
_______
It's really tough and I get really frustrated at it, because all the controls are different (ex: when passing, you have to press a direction on the control pad and then make a throwing motion on the Wiimote, instead of just pressing a button) and after 10+ years of Madden playing I still get in the habit of looking for the old controls. Still, it's Madden. You can't go wrong with Madden. It's the Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich of videogames.
Zelda
_______
Despite that it was originally programmed for the Gamecube, the controls work very well here. I'm not that far into it, but the storyline is actually really good so far, something that Nintendo games aren't known for. I can't imagine beating it though. I bought the strategy guide, but I haven't even gotten to the first Temple yet. From most accounts, it's a game that'll take around 50-60 hours to beat. That puts me on pace to beat the game around the time the next Nintendo system comes out.
Virtual Console
________
The download times are really fast. Unfortunately, I downloaded Mario Bros. thinking that it was the original Super Mario Bros. and it turned out to be that crappy Mario game that's like a mix of Donkey Kong and Super Mario Bros., only not good. What a waste of $5.00.
